Development

It’s easy to blind clients with abbreviations or buzzwords and there are usually multiple methodologies to approaching technical construction of any site.  We have based our experience in developing, working with and managing a broad range of sites built using different technologies.

Our core experience is in HTML and Flash production using additional languages such as PHP, .NET and XML to deliver additional functionality for our clients.

We have extensive experience in the planning and delivery of Content Management Systems used for editing and managing sites by our clients. Either using larger bespoke built solutions or off-the-shelf tools such as Macromedia Contribute.

Ecommerce is also a significant part of what we offer and how we spend our time, both in terms of process and delivery. Whether it is working with small bespoke systems or the implementation of enterprise level solutions such as Microsoft Commerce Server, we bring together the team to develop, implement, integrate and manage these systems on behalf of and working with our clients.

Bespoke Development

Bespoke technical development is a common feature in many of our projects. Whether it is development of an advanced online application process for a law firm or delivery of solutions to manage complex access privileges for your customers on an extranet, we will work with you to explore the options, benefits, costs and pro’s and con’s for different technical platforms in order to give you the knowledge to make the right decision.

Common applications and bespoke development:

  • Ecommerce development
  • Content Management Systems
  • News and Press Release systems
  • Online Application Forms
  • Event and Seminar Booking systems
  • Keyword Management and SEO
  • Database Driven Flash functionality
Usability and Accessibility

Commercially and ethically what we produce should not be exclusive in terms of who and how people can use it. Coupled with this is an increasing legal responsibility for clients to be aware and have made best efforts to make their sites (and printed material) clear and accessible to all users.

This focuses on how sites meet and adhere to various standards including ease of use, technical production and accessibility by groups such as the visually impaired.

We work with a wide range of standards such as w3.org and Bobby to keep abreast and ahead of the requirements set out to regulate how sites are constructed.

As part of our process we will work with our clients to review and decide upon the most effective application of the various standards and keep you informed as they develop on an ongoing basis.

Whether it is the provision of text only sites, quick keys, or the comprehensive use of styles in order to deliver accessible sites for our clients and their users, this is an area, which is important to our clients and to us.
